“Fear the Lord always” (Proverbs 28:14)
In words of Bible there are parts which are soothing to the ears and ones that are offending to the ears.
Just like every child need love and discipline to grow up to be a proper person,
that balance is a must.
Read Deuteronomy chapter 28.
There are all together 68 verses in that chapter. Verse 1 to verse 14 are words of blessing.
“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today”
and ends ”Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give today, to the right or to the left,
following other gods and serving them.”
Verse 15 to Verse 68, 54 Verses are curse.
It begins, “However, if you do not obey and ends you will be in such a wretched status
you try to sell your self as a slave and no one will buy you.
Our most severe cussing towards to a person is ‘ungrateful’.
We are created in God’s image, therefore, God and we have same attribute in that part.
God really wants us to pay homage for his grace.
People of Israel were rebellious against God and fully paid their due,
many generations of persecution all over the world.
We are living in a better world now, we have churches Jesus established,
where we can worship and serve the Lord.
Let’s diligently attend the church and serve the Lord.
We are inclined to slack off and go astray, but God is only patient to a limit.
God is gracious, but punish those who deserve it. (Exodus 34:7)
